Notes of a Citizen will embolden viewers to use their voice and stand up for what they believe in. This intimate portrayal encourages us to understand the past so we can more effectively advocate for our future, while compelling us to examine what we have taken for granted in our own relationships with loved ones. This is a story we need now, so we can learn from and build on the foundation Marcus laid for critical social movements in America.
